The Caverns of Neraka is, to most people, an inconsequential, remote place that doesn't even register under 'Things Worth Knowing About'. Most Arkhanites consign the entire wilderness to the west of Arkhan to a poorly-defined region on the Imperial Map, marked 'Nowhere'.

But you're a gnome, and gnomes know better. They know that the surface world and the depths of Gheas are inextricably one organism. The gnomes of Neraka know that life depends on life depends on life. Some gnomes are druidic types, and they live this knowledge and make sure it circulates through the cavern warrens. But you're no druid. At least not yet.

Maybe you're a garden gnome. If not, you'll be a tinker gnome. Either way, you'll meet brine lizards and probably have to hunt and harvest your share of them. You'll forage for timble caps, and if you find the aethericly-charged versions of these fungi, Butterchunk, a senior tinker, will be overjoyed and reward you with... something. If you find the fleshy versions of timble caps, some other gnome will be excited to snack on them, unless you do first. You'll meet the firngha, and maybe discover ancient mysteries to look into. You'll squeeze water out of living sponges, because fresh spongewater is so much better than the briney stuff you find in pools and puddles throughout the caverns. You'll harvest mutant, aethericly-charged salts, so as to prevent elemental catastrophes from ruining everyone's day.

Caverns of Neraka is an original game inspired by old text adventures, D&D, and all sorts of cultural detritus. Here in the Caverns, we're working to upcycle all that stuff into a unique, intentionally slow and savory gaming experience.

The Caverns ain't yet open, but y'all keep checking back for when Butterchunk opens the doors.
